The note I wrote in March was hopeful that we would be able to use precautions to continue in-office appointments. As of the end of March, due to government guidelines and in an abundance of caution, I, along with most other counselors and therapists switched to online Telehealth appointments only. No one could have predicted how long the need for such caution would last. As of today, 2 months later, I do not see opening my home office up for in-person appointments any time soon this summer. I will decide on a month by month basis and try to post an announcement as well as inform my continuing clients. When we re-open, the extra care will still apply.
I currently continue to see clients via Telehealth, although I am screening more carefully for appropriateness and fit for providing Telehealth. Thank you all and stay safe and well.
